Linus Pauling was a leading chemical scientist and peace activist. He won Nobel Prizes in both areas. He graduated from Oregon State University (OSU) in 1922. The Linus Pauling Institute moved to OSU in 1996. The Linus Pauling Science Center was completed to house the institute in 2011.
